1. Who we are

Jodie Anne Tyrrell, trading as My Prospect Pal ("we", "us", "our"), provides a personal CRM for tracking prospects and follow-ups. For data you submit through the Service, we act as the data controller.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: name, email, login credentials.
  • Content you create: prospects, conversations, notes, follow-up dates.
  • Support messages: messages you send us.
  • Usage & device data: pages viewed, actions taken, IP address, browser and device identifiers, error logs.

Payment card details are collected directly by our payment provider, Paddle — we never see or store your full card number.

3. How and why we use it

  • Provide the Service (contract): create your account, store your prospects, send follow-up reminders.
  • Customer support (contract / legitimate interests): respond to your queries.
  • Security & fraud prevention (legitimate interests / legal obligation): detect abuse, secure accounts, keep audit trails.
  • Product improvement (legitimate interests): understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.
  • Marketing (consent or legitimate interests where permitted): occasional product updates. You can opt out at any time.

4. Who we share data with

  • Service providers / subprocessors: hosting, database, analytics, email delivery, and customer support tooling, under contract and on our instructions.
  • Paddle (Merchant of Record): for sale of the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing.
  • Professional advisers: legal, accounting, and similar advisers where necessary.
  • Authorities: where required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as we need it to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

6. International transfers

Data may be processed in countries outside your own (including outside the UK/EEA). Where applicable, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. UK/EEA users may also lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority. We aim to respond within one month of a verified request.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging — to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to reduce risk.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to operate the Service securely. We may also use limited analytics to understand product usage. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.
